Besides the above reasons,:
Wang Liu Mei is a beauty with brains, she also uses her brains and beauty together to get her 'boyfriends' to fund CB. Sumeragi would be another beauty with brains, but I feel like choosing only one girl and I thought Wang Liu Mei is cuter.
Lockon Stratos is cool, just like a sniper should be. He's more 'real' compared to the other characters and he has the coolest Gundam in this show.
