Isn't the thing about the original idea of Kyousuke and Maou being the same just a rumor though?
From what I heard it's actually the opposite, in the alternative routes Looseboy qrote them as Kyousuke and Maou being the same as the story worked better in them that way.
The earlier chapters have some excellent foreshadowing. I find it kind of hard to believe that it was just put in at the last minute.
