In reference to the Darcsen presented, I think the best colour to go with is shades of grey. It really adds to the dynamic of a story. Unfortunately when it comes to this approach I find it's easy to get sidetracked. Antagonists get really difficult when they're no longer faceless automatons.
Good point, man. Going with a "moral bad" or "lawful evil" approach would create some VERY interesting dynamics.

I'll need to think up a possible plotline involving renegade Darcsens in the VC2 setting; need sleep now, though.
