Kirito and Eugeo started to have contradicting ambitions. While Eugeo wants to return Alice Synthesis Fifty back to Alice Schuberg, Kirito would like to preserve Alice Synthesis Fifty's personality. This could mean a prelude to tragedy later on. And also Alice started to have good feelings towards Kirito because he promised to let her see Selka and her family. For someone who longs for a family, Kirito's promise provided a saving grace for Alice.
