Kare Kano is unfinished, so that's hard to consider for either category, it's not the way it is by choice. from what i was told the manga does end, Trinity Blood seems to be in the same exact situation.

Spoiler for Strawberry Eggs Ending: i guess the show does go both ways, but for me it was very definitive because making a sequel would be absurd. the entire show is based on the premise of him pretending to be female and the way the show ends, that will never happen again. a sequel without him being a woman would be completely off. or a sequel where he does come back as a woman would also make very little sense. the inability for Strawberry Eggs to continue logically is why i suggested it. the entire topic is too limiting to begin with, the way it's written he might as well just ask for "anime where everyone dies".
