I doubt it would ruin anything, there wouldn't be much of a flood (more like a slow trickle), and, what plot?
I suppose one of my problems is that the OP is so very energetic (and annoying), that it contrast wildly from the episode itself, which is only slightly twice as long as the OP. Too much OP and not enough show.
