- hypothesis0: the projection of an (n) dimensioned object will always yield another object with (n-1) dimension.
- Supposed there exist a world that only has 2-dimensions(length and width), complete with its inhabitants. Somehow we bring a 3-dimensional being in to this 2D-world.
- Question1: how would this 3D-being see the 2D world and how would the 2D inhabitants see this 3D-being?
- Answer1-a: Suppose the 3D-being was transferred intact without any loss and not merely projected to become a 2D-being itself (it stays 3D), then this 3D-being will have an 3D viewing qualities in seeing this 2D-world.
- Examples for answer1-a: suppose this 3D-being encounters a wall that would normally blocks the vision of other 2D-beings. The 3D-being can simply see what's on the other side because the wall did nothing to block its 3-D vision of the world. This being can also shift outside of existence(by moving along its own "height" axis) and then reappear on the other side of the wall without even touching the wall. Better yet, this being can also chose to be in more than one place at the same time by extending different limbs in different places. If it wants to, it might also be able to take something out of a "box" without opening it. So this leads to:
- Answer1-b: The 2D-being will see the 3D-being as just another 2D-being because of its limited 2D vision. However, the 2D-being will notice that this 3D-being can do extraordinary things.
- Question2: Then suppose we bring both the 2D-being and 3D-being to a 1D-world. Would the 2D-being also have similar qualities to the 3D being in the 1D-being perspective? How about the 3D-being?
-Answer2: Most likely yes for both the 2D and 3D being. The 1D being cannot tell the difference between the 2D and 3D being, the 2D being can see the 1D being completely but still can only see the 3D as a 2D being. Which leads to:
- Hypothesis1: A being of (n) dimension can only see other higher dimensional being as (n) dimension. And
- Hypothesis2: An (n) dimensional world can only be "Perfectly and Completely" observed by at least an (n+1) dimensional being.
- Now, suppose that each world and beings projects itself to the lower dimension. So, what we currently see in the universe are actually projections of a higher dimensional world, and so are us. And such so are those higher dimensional universe and us are also projections of even higher dimensional world.
- Question3: What would be the source? A dimension and a being so high it can project itself into practically everything in the lower dimension at will?
- Could that be God?
- Hypothesis3: God is dimensionally infinite. The highest of all, of which everything came from and under direct control of.
There you have it. It's only a simplified version of my old thought-exercise with rather faulty jumps and no definite proof whatsoever, but it was enough to make me wonder a bit. As in, I went emo for quite some time when I thought this up
After this, it made me somewhat of an agnostic theist (after having close to stepping in atheism completely).
However, I still hold my view that religion is merely a tool and should be treated as one, then and now.
