And on the subject of power-ups in Bleach.... erhm wasn't that Naruto vs Neji fight the same thing? Just as Naruto is supposedly about to lose he powers up with the Kyubi Chakra and beats Neji.

In the Naruto vs Gaara fight after the Chuunin Exam as Sakura is encased in one of the transformed claws of Gaara on that tree what did Naruto do? Charge up an immense amount of Chakra to use Tajuu Kage Bunshin. That isn't a power-up?
All you cited are Naruto's fights. Yes, I concede that they are one dimensional. That's why many people find don't like his fights. It's also why Shikamaru is such a popular character.
