No, I read these while I was at several English blog sites. Several of them actually took that notion seriously. I had to go to them and say that Oishi ≠ Oishii and they realized that they've got them confused.
Besides, I don't see what's funny about this joke in the first place. Are homonyms that sound familiar phonetic-wise, but not syllable-wise taken as a joke in the English world?
