No, we shouldn't do anything. It is rather praiseworthy he even noticed it and it will be a reward for him later on when can come up with the correct theory because of it.
Saying something to him right is the same thing as saying what he noticed is important. If we say nothing he will eventually stop mentioning it and forget it for the time being.
