Canaan didn't seem hated to me so much as underrated and underappreciated. A lot of people I know didn't even watch it, had no idea what it was. But those people I do know who watched Canaan thought it was one of the better shows of 2009.

IdolM@ster Xenoglossia may have sucked, but there was nothing overly wrong with
Mai-Otome.
And
Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo was crazy awesome and also funny as hell. Leloupard FTW. Random Baseball Episode #9 had me laughing so hard I almost peed myself.
