Seriously, don't know what to tell you that people in the other thread had already posted about the series. I've never read the other series, so can't do any comparison.
Edit - I'm a bit surprised that "Shi Jou Sai Kyou no Deshi Kenichi" ("History's Strongest [Martial Arts] Student Kenichi" is about the best translation that I can come up with) being serialized in "Shonen Sunday" hasn't been made into an anime yet. Martial arts, fights, and buxum girls (fan service and all) are normally pretty easy sells.
