Nah, the Invid attack happened in ROBOTECH. Macross was a part of ROBOTECH (the first half) two other animes (Southern Cross and MOSEPEDA) were edited and added to the ROBOTECH storyline, but those 3 shows have no correlations to eachother, just only in ROBOTECH. Macross Zero happens a few years prior to Macross. And if edited could fit into the ROBOTECH universe too.
I think the Inivid attack happened right after the Second ROBOTECH War with the Masters. (Sorry just had to throw that in)
