Spoiler for P2P 06 - An Elegant Cleaning Device for a More Civilized Age:
We were introduced to this show in the dead of winter (show-time, not real-time), and that did a lot in setting the mood. I had gotten to used to this being a "winter" show, with winter motifs and winter moods. To see the uniforms change and the show go into full on bright and cheery summer mode was a bit of a surprise. The show's still on its winning streak.
Tsumiki turning herself into the Darth Maul of pool cleaning was a great gag, and not the first use of ordinary objects as weaponry either. Naturally, the pool cleaning turned into a game. Seeing everyone pile on goods to beat the heat was also a nice escalating gag. It hit the beats of comedic timing perfectly.
For the second half, a visit to Io's house. Tsumiki manages to be cute, funny and ferocious, all in one little package. Some of the subtler humor, like her aggressively grabbing Mayoi under the table, was played off really well. Come the rainy segment, Mayoi got the best gag. Projectile umbrellas - simple, but staggeringly effective. (To say nothing of the Love Love Umbrella)
This show's proving itself to be a real gem.
