Oh how long it has been since I shed tears for an anime.

Until someone else pointed it out I didn't realize it, but the scene where the mother was turned into a zombie and then she killed her baby kind of symbolizes how inhuman Dio has become. Since when he was human, while he was a bastard, he still cared about his mother and her love, but in this scene, he so lightly separates a mother from her child (in the most nasty of ways). So ugly, you can't even feel anger at Dio. Just this... quiet disgust at his existence.
