seriously...yeah you are right, all those scenes listed would fit the bill, but thatonly flies under the assumption that Mashima a) works dilligently and this is all 100% planned and b) does not throw around red herrings for the fun of it. Me, Imma gonna go on a limb here and say Gildartz is done for and Cana will cry again over his loss - this reunion is plainly too good to be true, specially since Mashima has demonstrated with this arc that atm he rly likes doing endless up and down plot weave - but now, with the last page diary style text by Lucy hinting at Macaos boy at the sea and timeskip, it is likely we will get that timeskip soon and end of arc, and it's gonna come with some cost - and anyways, it was always implied the younger gen will eventually take over... so it would make a lota sense for Gildartz sacrificing himself against that beast, if it is indeed Acnologia, Zerefs black dragon and the one Gildartz met before (which all semms likely now imho) ... Consider he has a daughter to protect now... perfect set up for kamikaze run ala "Yo big black beast, you again? I'm gonna cut you with all my magic - from the inside of your stomach, that is. Fucker,you don't get ma guild and ma daughter ^^" ...of course I might likewise have fallen for a red herring with this speculation

I'm sorry haegar, I really am. It's just that people keep relating someone dying with Charle's visions and it pisses me off. Hell, some are so retarded to say that Cana crying hasn't happened yet and that it will happen but she'll be wearing the clothes she's wearing now.
