Actually Asuna and the rest of the SAO gang requested for their avatars to look relatively close to their SAO avatars from the re-organized ALO management. Only the hair colors were not copied since it was race-specific (Asuna is an Undine w/cis the race affiliated w/water) but Liz actually dyed her hair pink again just like in SAO even if she was a Gnome.
