The episode was very compressed, felt like some things was rushed way too much.

Spoiler for for episode 4:

halfway into it though, when you see all the Zeon remnants gathering up, a group launching from the shot down Grey Phantom,was just beautiful.

the federation was getting their asses handed to them until the unnamed pilot(im rooting for Kou Uraki, just because its the torrington base he was stationed at, and it was a prototype suit) shows up in the Byalant kai/custom and destroys most of the remnants himself.
