Notice the difference... equating the two is
obfuscation. Yes, they could both be considered "models of reality" -- but the latter evolves based on new evidence. The other is divinely revealed and therefore not subject to revision (though it can die out if it ceases to be relevant to the current situation or it can harm its adherents by preventing evolution to a more successful set of behaviors).
