By "not for show" I meant "they are canon."
Now granted, Aki's summary doesn't paint her as a front-line fighter, but neither was Shamal. She never got into a fight The only moves we've ever seen her do were teleporting, healing and grabbing a linker core, that last one even being explicitly noted to only be able to do when the targets defenses are down. The exact same "100% asspull" argument applies there, and if they did it before, they can do it again.
Me, I'd rather see Isis, but I can certainly imagine them putting in Lily.
