It just seems like the amount of material after the duel to the end isn't enough to cover an entire episode.

I expect the conversation between Kirito and Kayaba after the duel will take up a good amount of the second half -- when has anime ever turned down the chance to have people in a nebulous floaty place having a philosophical debate?
