On a more serious note, though it wasn't as dramatic as I had thought it would be, I was right that Index came back (
but not by escaping) because she's clinging on to the hope that Touma is still alive and that this is the one place he would return to. For some reason even though they both ended the same way, Index's monologue was more emotional for me than Mikoto's... By just that little bit.
