Actually, there we was one or 2 pairs of elf ears that perished in Pieta:
#20 Queenie (the lone Miria team casualty)
and I think there may have been one other...
maybe 24 Zelda? or 37 Natalie? maybe it's just my imagination about a 2nd one.
