Yeah, the third twilight probably has something to do with the Ushiromiya name.
As for the family ring, we know it's not needed to find the village of gold.

Spoiler for For episode 3 of the game:

Eva and Rosa both find the ten tonnes of gold without holding the family ring; in fact, Eva receives the ring from Beatrice after she finds the gold.
The family ring is held by the head of the family. Kinzo hands it to Beatrice, who says that whoever solves the riddle and finds the gold will get the ring and headship of the family.
Beatrice follow the twilights in their literal sense, to find the Golden Land there may be a second meaning to them that we have to use.
