Edit* ハルヴァンヘレヴ"? ( sry can't read japanese ) I think she was going nuts in volume 1 due to the supposedly "death" of Shidou, rather than the fact that her power is making her go crazy. So if there is a way for her to use her power, she probably won't go nuts as long as Shidou is by her side.

You're right on that mark; someone did teach her about Shidou's ability, and it's right near the end of Volume 4. It's also a very touching moment for Kotori and Shidou, and definitely asserts her completely hidden head-over-heels Shidou brocon tendency, hahaha.
For Halvanhelev (wtf romaji plz yo), that might be the case...but she did almost lose control of the sword, when she gathered way too much energy into it. Either way, Princess will definitely need support when using it.
