Cake-flavored Strawberries

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fruity Asian cakes. I find most typical cakes here to be way too sweet with too much icing, so when I want a cake, I hit the oriental bakery (sad, sad, oh so sad for you if you don't have one in your town.... everything inside is lovely and sweet to eat). I have a thing for cake with strawberries and kiwi and mandarin oranges on top. Those are the best! I also like mocha cake.

Patti, like most gaijin-otas, listen to a lot of J-pop music. However, like most of us, she only listen to a band when they have an anime OP/ED, and mostly will only listen to their anime work. For example, Orange Range was the biggest act in Japan back in 04 and 05, and yet most of us here only knows about them because of Bleach. It's a shame, really; I always think that if you dig anime songs, you should also dig right into J-POP/Rock scene and look for non-anime works of a good band/singer.

It's so true! In the past year I've been into pretty much only anime songs, or songs that were referenced in anime. Part of the reason is that my favorite J-pop song download site got a new horrendous layout, and then finally shut down. I know of another site with lots of j-pop, but they distribute using torrents and it's cumbersome for such a small file. Anime music for direct download is really easy for me to find though. (Everyone wanted to kill me when I found the Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu OP theme... I put it on repeat, over and over and over and over... )
If I ever do see a song from an artist I've heard an OP or ED from that I liked, I will definitely nab it though. (I have thirty-eight Kaela releases now!)
