Well, the castle is cone shaped so the floors do get smaller the further up they go. I imagine each dungeon tower thing would be the same size. Each dungeon tower was 20 floors, with a dungeon boss blocking the door to next floor on the last level. Episode 2 showed the boss fight only, in Aria

Episode 2 showed the boss fight only, in Aria Spoiler for LN Aria spoiler relating to ep2: however Kirito had been mapping out the upper floors of the dungeon solo looking for the boss room and was killing trash mobs. Happened before the meeting in ep2 and is how he met/saw Asuna get hit by a paralysis attack. Paralysis is extremely dangerous to a solo player and if monsters there could use it... Kirito was crazy for being there.
