This chapter seemed to suffer a bit from the overload of silly gags. While Fairy Tail has always had silly gags, trying to introduce a whole cast of quirky people with their own silly gags while at the same time keeping up the existing ones sort of overloaded it. I wouldn't call it good, but it was sort of a necessary episode. Hopefully future episodes should show us why we should care about the new characters.
