The author is in a bit of a corner with some things as the volumes progress ...I just hope the author has sketched out an overall story outline and a certain number of books to cover it.

The danger here is that the two are becoming deep soul mates and at some point,even by medieval standards, there won't be any reason to take it to a physical level. If they don't - it will hurt the consistency and realism of the two characters, unless of course the author plans to end this in tragedy and regrets..... I certainly hope not.
