I thought about this for a bit, but then I realized, any form of visual entertainment (Or literary for that matter), whether it be live action movies, cartoons, or books can be lonely hobby depending on the person.
It becomes lonely for a person when the person in question finds the life of the characters, more exciting than theirs, and in fact at times wishes to be the said character. Sometimes I have been guilty of this myself.
