I think the official word of the subject is that Sachi wasn't in love with him (and he wasn't in love with her). They didn't really have a romantic relationship. You can read it however you want, she
was sleeping on his bed after all, but she was not intended to be part of the harem. Maybe she saw him like a little brother or something.
