@Eratas: He's remorseful, just not angsting every second about it. I'm actually writing the second chapter trying to avoid a moment where he's portrayed as mentally scarred. The reason for this is because someone is actively trying to heal him and I just don't really want to portray Rong as excessivley emo.

In fact if one takes a look at him he is hate worthy from start till finish. Right now he is trying his best to atone for what he's done in the past. Even though he did all those things before, he really is hurt from each and every single event. The day he decided to turn his plan into reality was the day he had captured Fillia(Another story I should probably save for some other time). She reminded him that he wasn't supposed to be doing what he was doing. He put his rank and the group's trust in him in peril to save her. He then proceeded to modify his plan to ensure an escape for her. During the night of Fillia's escape, the American military came according to plan. The terrorist base was raided. Rong killed the leader and tried to escape. It failed when he was intercepted and captured by American IS pilots who used military drills as a cover up to deploy IS forces. Rong never actually planned his escape, he was ready to die and suffer for all he'd done. The fact he's alive and reasonable is because Fillia saved him. Fillia is one messed up dame.
