No, it makes sense. It may be completely stupid, but Mikono trusts that furball who prefers the mass kidnapper/murderer to the guy who risked his life several times to rescue its owner. So it's either that or try to replace Shushu with an identical but friendlier... rabbit? and hope Mikono doesn't notice.
(Or, you know, go after a woman that isn't quite so brain damaged.)
