The fastest production car is a Lotec C1000 with a top speed of 278 mph but only 2 were made.It was made in 1991 and is a germen car.
Funny enough the highest bhp of a car is from the LOTEC SIRRUS with 1443 bhp but only has a top speed of 253 mph.
Le Mans banned Group C because the cars were going to fast down the muslane stright which was 4 to 5 miles long most drivers were scared of going faster than 200 mph to 220 mph oddly but some hardcore drivers went up to 263 mph the fastest was the sauber c9 and the dauer c962 and the porche c962.
Also porche has the most wins at le mans.
