Spoiler for Episode 2 (with comparisons to equivalent content in the game):
The second episode continues to follow the game rather faithfully other than it being extremely time-crunched (probably another hour or two of the game compressed into this episode). They made a few adjustments here and there, but again this is mostly to save time (like, in the game much of the explanation about Minette happened in her room and on the rooftop where they saw the meteor shower; here they moved it to the Clan house so they could be more time-efficient... little things like that). The introduction of Carina's father was almost word-for-word what I remembered from the game, so I would say they're staying very true to the source wherever they can. I saw someone mention that the battle scene was done such that you could practically imagine the parts where you needed to input commands, and it felt the same for me. They paid special attention to ensure that the locations shown match exactly those in the game -- the dragon world was especially faithful to the game's CGs. And yes, the game is exactly the same with the beach scene coming straight after the first quest. And yeah, suffice it to say, he somehow did get out of that little trap the girls set for him at the end.
That aside, the OP and ED are both pretty nice and suitable sugary sweet. The ED is especially cute with the chibified designs and sort of "crayon" style they use for those (also seen in the first episode).
Although technically this episode was part of the first chapter, I would say that next episode is when we start digging into the heart of Chapter 1 of the game. If there's any part of the game that could use a bit of speeding up, this would probably be it.
