Actually, it was a combination of three elements
Overloading yourself with power.
The right person being there at the right moment without anyone, even the person itself, being aware of it.
Healing type lolis.
Each one of those is a powerful plot device in itself. To go as far as to needing to combine the three of them...like Accelerator said, Dark Matter is one hell of a power.
Also, it appears Shiage has just been given a new reason to fight, or rather, he could be getting back his old one, and its the one that gave us his coolest moments, so there's that too.
Can we get back to the cool part now?
