Flash forward 10 years. Ichigo has a daughter with Orihime, and has yet to show any sign that his powers have returned. Gin shows up out of nowhere, beaten and bloody, to warn Ichigo and his human buddies (along with Captain Renji and his lieutenant Rukia, who are coincidentally visiting at the time) that someone with a tie to Ichigo is after him. The guy shows up and looks just like Ichigo except with dark hair (cue Rukia x Kaien angst), and proceeds to wipe the floor with Ichigo's crew. Ichigo starts to show evidence of his strength returning, and ends up facing the Kaien clone alongside Gin. Kaien clone says he's from the King's Realm and claims to be Ichigo's brother. Ichigo and Gin manage to defeat Kaien clone, but only by having Ichigo sacrifice himself by holding Kaien clone in place long enough for Gin to kill them both with his God-Killing Spear. Before he leaves, Gin grabs Ichigo's daughter, who showed signs of potential surpassing her father's in the previous battle, and takes her with him to train her to face the other King's Realm bad guys sure to follow. Meanwhile, Ichigo ends up in SS (Where else is he going to go? Detroit?) and has to train to get back to his previous power level and back to Earth before more bad guys show up.

That or Mahou Shoujo Funereal Yuzu. Yuzu is a cute shinigami substitute with a zanpakuto that speaks stilted English with a perfect accent ("Master... Call me Bankai!") who, along with her stuffed lion companion has to collect Soul Seeds while she faces off against her dark rival/sister Karin.
