Well, there are some cringe worthy scenes scattered out through the episodes, but they are not frequent and gets lesser towards the end.

Spoiler for Cringe worthy scenes IMO:

Onikakushi-hen
1. Needle in the ohagi. Only if you imagine though.
2. Keiichi's massacre.

Watanagashi-hen
1. Intro, and that's it. Not even supposed to happen.

Tatarigoroshi-hen
1. Corpse at intro. Not the actual corpse itself, but the fingers.
2. Teppei's murder. Then again, it was censored.

Himatsubushi-hen
1. Ooishi's pole dance in front of Akasaka.... just kidding.

Meakashi-hen
1. Fingernail stripping, specially that missed one.
2. Rika's suicide.

Tsumihoroboshi-hen
1. Rina's murder.
2. Teppei's murder. I wonder which death was quicker, the bat or the hatchet?
3. Itchy maggots.

And not much gore in the second season as of now.
