I tought you played the novel where it was perfectly explained that she wanted Ellen dead in order to make Reiji suffer, an idea probably implanted into her by Scyhte who wanted her to kill both of them.

Actually, in neither ending does anyone get a chance of living the normal life, with the ugly past, Inferno and other staff. In fact, after a detaield analysis of endings, the couple from "The Road to Carulean Sky" seems to be even eviler and more desperate then the couple from "Dusty Desert Trail".


In any case, as Mentar said few pages ago, ending discussion are best left outside this tread.
