Side note though, usually the more experienced sniper is the "spotter", that's why they can relate the corrections needed for distance and wind to the actual "shooter".

It is an expensive weapon. The manufacture cost is rather high for a sniper rifle of 7.62x51mm, thus it is not adopted as a standard issue SR in most countries.

Most military and law enforcement opt for the Accuracy International rifles, namely the L96. They are cheaper to produce and are almost as reliable.
