When Junichi went "I was so close to seeing Ayatsuji's---" in this episode, I thought "so much for the 'they got intimate after she kicked him down in the original series'" interpretation. I'm also glad that marrying hasn't changed Kaori Nazuka's skill at this role.
It'd be much nicer if Hibiki and Maya got animated routes of their own, though.
