It worries me, too. He has never done a show I liked. I know you disagree, but I think Shinbou does brilliantly well with Nisio, whereas Motonaga created something I found unwatchable in
Katanagatari. Just boring.
However, as for that extremely popular abomination
School Days, I do blame his writer, Uezu Makoto, who is only one step behind him in not suiting my taste. They worked together on such great shows as
Amenaideyo and
Lovedol.
Fortunately, this show is written by Kuroda Yousuke, who is at least competent, having done shows ranging from
Phantom 2 to
Hayate to
HSotD. I am looking forward to this show, however, partly for the morally reprehensible set-up I read about. How will they deal with that?
