Basically I see Accel World as more about team work and where hero can't succeed entirely without the good will and help of others, whereas SAO is more or less about Kirito doing absolutely everything in the long run and is more the traditional action hero.

I see SAO being more along the lines of World of Badasses, rather then Kirito having to do everything. Asuna is shown to be nearly his equal, and sometimes better depending on the kind of enemy is being fought. Klein, though overshadowed by Kirito/Asuna is quite badass himself. While like you said, AW is more along lines of Teamwork, I see SAO more along the lines of: Multiple badasses coming together.
