Yesterday wo Utatte is a lovely series, but its dragging at the moment with the girlfriend back in high-school and her childhood friend, who is a sis-com/stalker.

While YwU is dragging a bit, I enjoy it because of the way the drama is developed. The characters are the focus and their development brings the drama in a more realistic fashion. Manga like GR and KNIm rely on plot-driven drama as opposed to character-drive and I've always felt that it hinders character growth.
