Wonderful to see the Nomo drawing song back, and I knew that baseball was eventually going to smack Kou in the head - the buildup was skillfully played. But on the whole, this was a strangely frustrating and unfulfilling episode for me. The first strains of impatience are starting to creep in. We've watched Kou and Aoba do this merry dance around the truth for 37 eps, now - I really think I'm ready for things to progress. Hungry for it, in fact - and my patience for distractions and sub-plots (Ichi-nee and Junpei, the national team tryouts, Azuma and Akane's involvement, anything Mountain-boy) growing thin. And yes, you're an idiot Akaishi.

I do have trust in Adachi-san, and in the anime team - they haven't steered us wrong yet. But we're getting into the late innings now, and I really feel like it's time for something serious to change on the front lines of the plot.
