Part 3
Spoiler for Alone Desire:
Alone Desire
A new medicine developed by "Betelgeuse New Medications", an anti-radiation exposure medicine.
The dosage in the ampoule can be used for one person between the ages of 13 and 40. It lasts for one hour.
In areas of low radiation levels, it has almost a 100% prevention rate.
It was approved in 2013, but it has not been circulated around the world.
For this incident, the rescue team has been provided with this medicine,
but they were only able to obtain 54 of them.
With this medicine, six people can survive for nine hours. But what about the other three...?
Incidentally, "Betelgeuse" is a name for Alpha Orionis. It's the ninth brightest star in the sky.
(This is incorrect, by the way. Alpha Orionis is the eighth brightest star, not the ninth. While it says it's the ninth brightest on the Japanese Wikipedia, the English Wikipedia lists it as the eighth.)
