Because they have to deal with:
Bandai - all of Gundam, Geass, GL, E7, etc.
Funi - Aquarion
Manga Entertainment - Orguess
ADV - Gravion Zwei, Dai-Guard
Adult Swim - Big O Second Season
And a shit ton of Japanese companies for everything unlicensed.
Way too much legal work and money for a rather niche genre.
