Well actually Azumanga is still their highest, but Railgun came close.
I dont think the darker story would affect the number of viewers too much. I think most Railgun fans want their slice of Mikoto action as much as any girly moe stuff.
For everybody else, bring on Touma vs Accelerator redux!
