Final episode!
Spoiler for 26:
Spoiler for Review:
The entire army which includes the Gales warriors, the Giants & now Dragons & the Heroes themselves watch from afar on what happen to the tower.
Arthur is shocked to learn that Merkadis has become one with the tower after eating Lector. But Merkadis shows it's true power by blasting a giant beam of Electrum that so powerful that it's completely destroys a mountain & it's explosion can be seen from Avalon.
As Merkadis starts attacking the army with it's Giant Tentacles, Arthur orders the entire army to retreat until Merkadis stops blasting but Arwan tells him they should attack now or Merkadis will charge a beam that's powerful enough to destroy them all. But in order to stop Merkadis power, Ogam explains they need someone who knows Latin & read the Bible so that person may use the "Power of Words" in the book to stop Merkadis power. And that person in Riannon herself since she has her ancestors memories, Primula who has read the Bible before.
Everyone try's to help Riannon to remember the Words but she is sacred to try & can't remember it but a blast forces Arthur & Arwan to use their swords magic to block the blast. While the blast has injured Arwan, everyone agrees to split up with Arthur & Arwan distracting Merkadis while the rest protect Riannon as she tries to remember the words. As Arthur & Arwan ride Dragons cutting & blasting Fireballs at Merkadis, the rest tries to avoid the Tentacles that keeps trying to hit them. But one of the Electrums blast hit's Arwan, causing him to fall from his Dragon but a spell from Riannon softens the fall. Riannon comes to her husband side & tries to heal him but finds her magic cannot heal his Electrums wounds.
As she anguish on how she promises not to be a burden to everyone but finds she cannot help her husband, Arthur scolds Arwan to get up, telling him it's not time for him to sleep a 1000 years again but to help them save the world now. As Arwan opens his eyes to see Arthur, Arthur briefly resembles Pwyll which helps him to come to his senses & get up. As they continue what they did again, Riannon suddenly finds herself in a dreamworld where she sees herself running towards her friends & Allies. Seeing this has made Riannon remember the "Power of Words" as she meets Primula. Primula thanks Riannon for finally remembering the words since she was able to overcome her unwillingness to accept her Elvish heritage as a descendant of Pwyll. With the knowledge of the words from Primula & her new control of Elvish magic from Pwyll, Primula says goodbye(with Pwyll & Myriddin beside her) to Riannon as her new found knowledge of the Words & use of Elvish magic may help everyone. As she wakes up from her dream, she is about to be hit by a tentacle until Morgan manages to push her away to safety.
Riannon rise up & slowly approaches Merkadis. It shoots a beam at her but when she start chanting Latin, a giant aura of Light protects her from the blast & losing her Hair tie in the process. As Riannon finally chants the "Power of Words", a giant ball of light comes from her that engulfs everyone, clearing the Dark sky & melting Merkadis. As Merkadis skin melts to where Lector is fused with the creatures heart, he screams in horror on how these weak races were able to defeat him as he begs for God Vatos for help. Arthur & Arwan speed up to Lector with their Dragons as Lector vainly tries to stop them with the towers tentacles & begs for mercy but he is finally killed when Arthur strikes the final blow.
Sometime later at Avalon, Arthur & Avalon are watching the crescent moon at a night sky which Arwan considered a good sign for a new beginning. As he daydreams, Arwan meets Pwyll who thanks Arwan for helping them & tells him to crown Arthur as the new King of the Revived Elvish Kingdom of Avalon & give him the name Pendragon & guide him to become a great King.
The next day, the Gaels, Giants & Dragons have gathered for Arthur's coronation at Avalon where Arwan gives him the name Pendragon & crowns him as King Arthur Pendragon, King of the Revived Elvish Kingdom of Avalon. As the crowd cheers, Riannon is proud of her brother, Llyr is in tears of knowing the Elvish kingdom is returning & Morgan is kinda sad since she & Arthur won't be hunting together anymore. as Arthur greets the cheering crowds, Arthur tells Arwan that he hopes Arwan will help him create a better world.
As the credits roll, Limwris and Ermin are discussing on how should they continue the story of Arwan adventures in Ermin book which they both agree to let other people writing about it. Octavia continues to teach the children but her class is cut short when Morgan wants her to go hunting with her but Octavia runs away from her. lol Epona tries get a item on a top shelf but falls & is rescued by Taliesin who continues to tease her. Ogam arrives with the baby Dragon who came looking for Taliesin, which Ogam comments that the cursed fate that was suppose to befall on Taliesin was actually his attachment to the baby Dragon. Llyr comes crying to Rathy since the cows were being mean to her & spill milk on her dress which Rathy cheers her up by showing the kingdoms new coin. Finally, Arthur, Riannon & Arwan are at Myriddin's monument at the seaside cliff paying their respect as Arwan tells Myriddin the world he wanted has finally been achieved & comment if he dies, he hopes to see Myriddin again. As Arwan leaves his sword near the monument as there is no need for it anymore, Riannon tells them they should go back since it's windy & ask her husband if he cold. He kindly respond to his wife that he isn't thanks to the scarf she gave him that's keeping him warm. She smiles at him as three of them head back.
Spoiler for My Thoughts:
Truth be told, i was expecting better but it was still a good ending. I can't believe i spend 26 weeks watching this but it was worth it so now i'm free doing other things. It was kinda boring to know everyone lives & but some last minute coupling like Riannon & Arwan, Epona & Taliesin were nice.
All & all, it wasn't best series i ever seen but it was a good series to watch.
Thank you for reading my weekly reviews of this show. If it wasn't for you, i would have just sleep peacefully instead of horribly trying to finish a review in an hour time limit. lol
Well, thanks & goodbye.
