Well, if a series I've already watched on fansub form becomes licensed, I somtimes do listen to the dubs on the dvd. I mean, unless the dub is absolutely horrid, if I want to watch something again, I might as well get a different experience out of it... I'm not exactly sure why it can't be dubbed right though. I mean, they did have a decent Haruhi dub, and ADV did dub Azumanga Daioh (I wasn't really fond of Osaka's voice, but every other character was fine). They didn't neglect or badly execute most of the cultural or otaku references in the scripts either. It's tricky, but not impossible to have a decent quality dub.
